Thomas Kitchell, a junior at Wake Forest, rallied in the sixth round to win the men's invitational shot put with a mark of 61-7 (18.77m) at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif. Kitchell also took third in the invitational discus throw with a 171-11 (52.40m) performance.
